This is 150ml coffee mug is made of Nankei Pottery’s signature clay kuro-neri.

The soft black color is created by carbonizing the iron-rich ceramic clay during the firing process. The cup is not glazed, so you can feel the earthy texture of this fine clay on its surface. The highly viscous clay is fired at high temperatures, so it does not absorb water and leaves no scent.
